After receiving both, I quickly decided to return the Case Logic sling bag because the difference in quality felt quite substantial. Considering I only paid about $15 more for the Lowepro Slingshot, it was a pretty easy decision. The only thing I liked more about the Case Logic sling bag was that it could hold more, and it was more customizable. The only drawback to the Slingshot is that you can't really configure it how you want. The velcro is placed in strips, instead of covering the whole back of the bag, so you can pretty much only configure it one way. Also, the space is quite tight. I can probably fit 3 lenses in the main compartment with an external flash, but it will be tight. On the other hand, this makes the bag very slim, and you can move around a crowd alot easier. The Case Logic bag felt bulky. I think this bag is perfect for day trips, travelling, touristing, and hiking. The rain cover is a huge plus, as is the water bottle holder. The tripod holder could also fit a larger 60 inch tripod I have, if I ever want to take it anywhere. The velcro tabs adjust by quite a bit. It would not fit in the Case logic bag.
In terms of quality, the Slingshot blows the Case Logic away. Just feeling it, you can tell it's just a much nicer product. This feels like it should last at least 10 years if not longer, and is as good if not better than my old Tenba bag that has lasted about 7. The Case Logic feels like it would probably start breaking down in a couple of years, but it isn't a horrible bag. The Slingshot is definitely worth the extra money, even though you do give up some space.

Just got back from a two-plus-week European excursion and used this bag as my flight carry-on and day-pack throughout the trip. Perfect fit for my DSLR with its 18-55mm zoom, 75-300mm zoom lens, 55mm std. lens, dual battery charger, and extra batteries. Liked the handy pockets for extra SIM chips, but wish one of them was big enough to put a battery in for quicker, easier access. The front-most pocket, which runs almost the full length of the bag, has a surprising amount of room and pockets for pens, and other small essentials, as well as a lanyard for keys or penlight. I was able to put a packable rain coat in here with just a little effort. The larger bag opening, while short, has plenty of room for noise-cancelling headphones, a decent-sized padded tablet pocket, and a zippered pouch for documents. There's a nice elastic and mesh side-pocket big enough for a 16 oz. water bottle.
While all of that thoughtfully-designed storage is great, it functioned even better. The zippers and closures are sturdy, the padding is good, and it's very comfortable to wear across your shoulder on your back or to move to the front when accessing the camera, sitting down, or in crowds where the possibility of a snatch-and-grab might exist. Camera access is easy and relatively quick: just slide the bag to your chest, open the side flap, pull out the camera, and start shooting.
Kudos to Lowepro!
Pros:
Well made
Adjustable camera / lens slots
Waterproof cover
Ample storage
Underarm strap to prevent shifting
Cons:
Cannot store 55 - 300mm zoom upright in storage slot as it is too tall. so has to remain attached to body in large slot
Underarm strap does not have any retaining or storage device so if not in use, will swing down freely and could hang up on brush, branches if trail walking

Jakość wykonania LowePro - warte tych pieniędzy.
I needed something lighter and smaller than my main camera bag, lower profile too, for day-trips carrying my full-frame Nikon and a couple of lenses. After a lot of pondering the slingshot caught my eye, not only because of the excellent access it gives you to the camera space without taking off but also being able to pull the bag round when travelling on public transport. Far less annoying for other passengers and a bit more secure for the top space if it's in front of you.
Has worked out grand. Plenty of room for the camera with a 28-85mm onboard and the wide angle and prime in the adjacent pockets for when needed. The top space easily has enough room for a day's snacks, even for me, front pocket big enough for stuff you need ready access to and a side pocket that's big enough for my trusty battered water bottle. The straps are easily moved around to thread through the water bottle cap to keep it safe in the pocket.
One nice touch is the wider rubber handle on top. A few of my old bags just had a strip of fabric. Whilst functional and obviously strong enough they haven't been the most comfortable way to carry the bag in a confined space, especially when loaded up for a day trip.
Although early days quality matches what I've come to expect from Lowepro. Very pleased.
