hamonim tracks what cloud compute costs. Every day a collector downloads the public AWS Price List for EC2 in 12 regions and keeps on-demand Linux and Windows rates (shared tenancy, no pre-installed software) and standard no-upfront reserved rates. Each snapshot is stored unchanged, so price history accumulates from November 2026 onwards.
Unit prices divide the hourly Linux rate in US East (N. Virginia) by vCPUs or GiB of memory. Percentiles compare a type with every current-generation type in the same AWS family. Alternatives are current types with the same vCPU count and memory within 25%. A month is 730 hours.
The site runs on a prototype embedded database from a single small server. Prices are informational: check the AWS pricing page before you buy. hamonim is not affiliated with Amazon Web Services. Corrections are welcome by email to the address in the WHOIS record.
