AWS groups 78 current EC2 instance types into the gpu instance family, across 23 series. The median Linux on-demand price in US East is $0.1249 per vCPU-hour, and 6.4% of these types run on Arm-based Graviton processors.
By median price per vCPU, the cheapest series is g5g (AWS Graviton2 Processor, $0.0517 per vCPU-hour) and the dearest is p6-b300 (Intel Xeon Scalable (Emerald Rapids), $0.7418). Unit price is not everything: newer processors do more work per vCPU, and some series add local NVMe storage or faster networking. The table lists every current series with its size count, unit price and memory per vCPU, so you can shortlist by shape first and price second.
Arm-based Graviton types have a median of $0.0517 per vCPU-hour against $0.1415 for x86, so Graviton is 63% cheaper per vCPU if your software runs on arm64. Among x86 types, AMD EPYC instances sit at a median of $0.0959 per vCPU-hour and Intel Xeon at $0.1801. Prices span from the g6f.large (2 vCPUs, 8 GiB) at $0.2020/hour, about $147 a month, to the p6-b300.48xlarge (192 vCPUs, 4096 GiB) at $142/hour, about $103,964 a month.
