Within the same generation and size, the c7g.xlarge on AWS Graviton3 costs $0.1450/hour, 42% less ($76.36 a month). The other variants are the c7i-flex.xlarge at $0.1696, the c7i.xlarge at $0.1785 and the c7gd.xlarge at $0.1814.

Compared with the previous generation, it costs 44% more than the c6gn.xlarge on AWS Graviton2 ($56.06 more a month per instance), in exchange for the newer processor. The newer c8gn.xlarge on AWS Graviton4 is 5.0% cheaper at $0.2370/hour, which makes the c7gn.xlarge hard to justify for new deployments.

Running it in N. Virginia instead of Tokyo saves $47.60 a month per instance: $0.2496/hour against $0.3148/hour, a 26% spread. It is not offered in Canada Central, São Paulo, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney, so plan around that if you need a presence there.
