The inf2 series is a machine learning asic instances EC2 line running on AMD EPYC 7R13. It has 4 sizes, from the inf2.xlarge with 4 vCPUs and 16 GiB to the inf2.48xlarge with 192 vCPUs and 768 GiB, and it is balanced with a median of 4.0 GiB per vCPU.

In US East the Linux on-demand price runs from $0.7582/hour to $12.98/hour, or $553 to $9,476 a month. The median price per vCPU-hour across the series is $0.0676.

Price per vCPU-hour is not flat across the series: the inf2.8xlarge is the cheapest per vCPU at $0.0615 and the inf2.xlarge the dearest at $0.1895, a 208% gap, so the size you choose changes your unit cost as well as your total.
